21:00 Concert from the municipal music school in the Convento de Santo Domingo in La Villa de Teguise

Start of the popular annual event Ruta de Tapas with 20 restaurants in Costa Teguise offering a drink and tapa for €2.50, available until the 6th January

09:00 Pateada Navideña “Los Pastores”, the shepherds walk from all the villages in the municpality of Teguise. Registration in the Deptartment of Culture at the Ayuntamiento of Teguise or village sociedad. Entry open until the 18th December, the price is €5.

18:00 Children’s activities and Christmas Concert organised by the Lanzarote Business Association in the Pueblo Marinero, Costa Teguise

18:30 Roller Skating Gala organised by the Club Patinaje Fayna in the pabellón of Teguise

20:00 Special visit from Father Christmas in Pueblo Marinero, Costa Teguise

Music in the historic part of La Villa de Teguise throughout Christmas

Monday 24th December

22:30 The mystery of the birth of Jesus in the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe church in La Villa de Teguise, followed by mass and Rancho de Pascua concert.

Wednesday 26th & Thursday 27th December

17:30 – 22:00 Christmas craft fair in Pueblo Marinero, Costa Teguise

Thursday 27th to Saturday 29th December

18:00 – 22:30 Christmas handball tournament organised by the Asociación Deportiva y Cultural de Teguise in the pabellón

Monday 31st December

23:00 New Year’s Eve celebration in the Plaza de la Constitución, La Villa de Teguise

Christmas Festivities 2012/13

Friday 14th December

20:00 The Christmas lights will be switched on in the streets of La Villa de Teguise. A street theatre will leave from the Teatro Hermanas Manuela y Esperanza Spínola travelling along the main streets of the historical centre

Saturday 15th December
